What is a property assessment?

An assessment is a percentage of the market value of your property. The assessment is the basis on which the taxing authorities determine the amount of your real estate taxes based on each county’s tax rates. In addition this number is used to calculate your implied market value.

Am I guaranteed to save Money?

While the final determination is at the granting of the appeal board’s decision, Trinity does its’ homework prior to entering into a working relationship with our customers. We are so confident in this claim that if you do not save you at least $500.00 on an annualized basis we will refund the cost of your appraisal and filing fee.The Trinity Pledge.

What does it cost?

Trinity operates under a contingency fee based system. In other words we do not get paid until your the findings are determined. Trinity is your consultant and is compensated by getting a percentage of your first year’s projected savings ensuring complete transparency with satisfied results.

Is a hearing always necessary?

Not only is a hearing necessary but it is mandatory that at least one homeowner attend unless you execute a power of attorney. Trinity will ensure that you are notified of your hearing date well in advance and will prepare your hearing package for presentation at the hearing.

When will my tax savings go into effect?

Your tax savings will go into effect the following calendar year for an annual appeal. Any tax savings for an interim appeal will take effect with the interim effective date.

What is an annual appeal versus an interim appeal?

An annual appeal is done on an annual basis. Every homeowner has the opportunity to appeal their taxes annually. In times like these when we have had a significant drop in property values nationwide now it is a great time to take advantage of this opportunity.

An interim appeal is typically reserved for new construction and can be retroactive back to your purchase date. In this case it can result in a refund from your municipality if this is the first time your home has been assessed.
